FEC reports show Tshibaka supported by Alaskans, Murkowski by the Swamp

(ANCHORAGE) – Alaska conservative Republican Senate candidate Kelly Tshibaka today released a web video illustrating the sharp contrast between her support from real Alaskans and Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s D.C. Swamp-fueled campaign. In the most recent campaign finance filings, Tshibaka raised more money from more individual Alaska donors in three days than Murkowski did in three months. “Voters are hungry for the new generation of conservative Alaskans, and Kelly Tshibaka has shown them that she is the real deal,” said Mary Ann Pruitt, adviser to the Tshibaka campaign. “Kelly will always fight for Alaska, while Lisa Murkowski cares more about being a D.C. insider.” Tshibaka announced her candidacy on March 29th, just three days before the end of the 1st Quarter 2021 Federal Election Commission deadline, while Murkowski was able to raise money for the entire three months of the quarter. Tshibaka raised $34,800 in small, unitemized donations in three days, while Murkowski raised just $29,900 from small donors in the entire quarter. Murkowski received more contributions from Political Action Committees than she did from individual Alaskans, pulling in donations from only 24 Alaska residents. Tshibaka was supported by thirteen times that many Alaskans. Murkowski was given contributions from Washington, D.C. politicians that totaled more than her contributions from Alaskans. In addition, Murkowski’s finance report is full of donations from lobbyists, Wall Street, and Google.
